Mathematicians-In- Training (MIT) for grades 5-8

The MIT plan uses the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) model to teach problem-solving skills of non-routine problems to grade school students.

  • Topics covered are ratios, proportions, fractions, percent, and decimals
  • Visual way to solve non-routine word-problems
  • Ideal for middle school students and upper elementary students
  • Meet once or twice per week (MW, TR, or Sat.)
  • Price $30/hour
